Zillah Cabarles: A Life Composed Through Music

From the first notes she sang at age six in church to the stage lights of contemporary performances, Zillah Cabarles has built a life centered on music, purpose, and connection. Born on August 9, 1980, in San Juan City, her early experiences performing at school events and family gatherings planted the seeds for a journey defined by passion and perseverance.

Early Inspirations and Dedication

Though trained in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Zillah’s heart belonged to music. She embraced every opportunity to perform, gradually honing her craft through discipline and hands-on experience. By 2020, she transitioned to music full-time, performing solo, collaborating with her band Blujays, and participating in competitions such as Tawag ng Tanghalan in 2018 and 2022. Alongside performing, she began writing songs and teaching voice lessons, helping others find their own voice.

Navigating Challenges

The road to her current standing was not without hurdles. Early doubts from family and the unpredictable nature of a music career required Zillah to cultivate patience and resilience. She learned to balance her responsibilities while remaining committed to her passion. Daily routines of vocal exercises, continuous learning, and disciplined practice became cornerstones of her growth.

Purpose Beyond Performance

Today, Zillah wears many hats: voice coach, songwriter, event host, band vocalist, and talk show host for Soundscape with Coach Belle. She also contributes to her community through the Exalt Team of CCF Taytay. Each endeavor reflects her belief that impact is measured not just in performances but in the inspiration and guidance offered to others.

Guiding Philosophy

Her personal motto—“From the ashes of my monumental failure will rise the empire of my success”—encapsulates her resilience and dedication. Zillah emphasizes purpose over recognition, teaching that fulfillment comes from commitment, growth, and sharing knowledge. She inspires aspiring artists to pursue their passions with focus, patience, and joy, embracing both triumphs and setbacks.

The Path Forward

Zillah continues to expand her craft through songwriting, voice coaching, and live performances. She envisions a future where her work not only entertains but also empowers, inspiring others to embrace their talents and pursue their dreams. Her journey is a reminder that dedication, intention, and a love for what you do can create a meaningful legacy that touches lives well beyond the stage.
